The Queen of Raising Private Money
Amy Mahjoory has had the opportunity to build many businesses and learn several lessons in the course of my real estate career.
Amy now has the time and ability to teach others how to gather the necessary capital in order to start and expand their own real estate operations.
The most important concept Amy teaches is that with the right attitude, anything is possible.
After attending undergrad at Michigan State University, Amy moved to Austin, Texas, where she landed a job working for Dell Inc.
After fourteen successful years working with corporations, Amy was feeling burned out and no longer had passion for her job. She knew she needed to make a major change.
In her spare time, Amy was captivated by all of the home improvement TV shows. She loved the idea of turning an old outdated house into a sleek and stylish home!
Given her lack of experience as a real estate investor, Amy had to be ready to take the initiative on a totally different mission, which was to learn how to buy, renovate, and sell distressed properties.
On her search for high-quality real estate investing education, Amy discovered mentors Than Merrill, Paul Esajian, and JD Esajian of A&E’s best-loved TV show, Flip This House. With their aid and support, Amy’s starting real estate venture was made.
Amy believes that mentoring is powerful. Some of the most useful tools she’s learned have come from mentors, and she cannot thank her mentors enough for taking her under their wings.
By taking part in an apprenticeship, setbacks such as delays, shortcuts, and missed opportunities can be nullified and easily avoided.
